open to worldwide artists, designers, engineers, architects, and people interested in construction, urbanism, nature.
challenge: deforested arid semidesert zone in north east mexico
our goal: create a botanical garden while you discover new materials and techniques, new spaces and people; to build a portfolio, have a solo or group exhibit, give a performance and/or a workshop to the community, land for experimental construction

The artist-in-residence is ongoing, 1 -12 months a year available in this program.
The cost is 600usd per person ( scheduling 3 month residence: March-April-May only ) Inquire for other dates and monthly fees ::: included:• private room in a shared apartment with 2 more roomates :: workspace & land for experimental construction (only for suitable architectural and engineering projects) • use of ::: atelier wabi-sabi ( in contruction) : concrete-marble granite furniture workshop • exhibit at local museum and local art fest : festival de invierno de r14 • use of ::: atelier tao ( in construction ) :: terrazo tile workshop (only with groups of 10 participants )::: chi garden ::: open garden with organic fruit includes depending season tangerines, oranges, limon real, grapefruit, figs, papaya, pomegranate, guavas, grapes, peaches, nuts, tomatoes, zucchini, chayote, bell and chili peppers and year round spinach, agave nectar, basil, rosemary and spearmint among others , • campo tai sculptural garden, for public installations, sculptures and participation in the development and presentation of community programs
not included food and transportation (public transportation in our city is .50 cts. US per trip) (food: across the street from centro there´s a lady that makes hand made organic blue corn tortilla every weekend @ 1.5 dlls per kilogram) • materials used • special tools or machinery • personal expenses • health, liability and other insurances • travel costs • visa costs
